Inclusive Leadership and Unconscious Bias
DS Smith was creating digital learning modules on Inclusive Leadership and Unconscious Bias and wanted to promote them throughout the business. So, they came to us.

Solution
At our first meeting we brought two insights (well, we brough more than two, but these were the big two).
(1) An animation about behaviour has to include people – but demonstrating bias and exclusion against people on screen is not appropriate.
(2) If you’re going to promote a learning channel, give the audience a nugget of what’s to come. If you surprise them with things they don’t know but find interesting, they are far more likely to sign up.
To tackle point one, we created a cast of diverse characters – but not in the way you might expect. This afforded us some licence to have fun with difference rather than risk offence.
To tackle point two we added high level insights and tips so that even if you didn’t complete the training (spoiler, ultimately you had to) you picked up some valuable take-aways.
