Digital voting
explainer

PRS is an organisation owned by its members. To pass key changes they need those members to vote. So, when an important ballot about the structure of their governance model was due in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, what should have been a simple physical ballot at their AGM became a much more complicated issue.

After 20 years without a governance restructure PRS saw the changes as vital to a strong future for the organisation. Without a natural way to collect votes they knew they’d need to work harder to engage their members and inspire them to take part in the online ballot, which is where we came in.

Solution

Our answer to their challenge was an intricately crafted animated film to explain the proposed changes and delight the audience from the very first moment they hit play. The piece needed to inform on many of the specifics while helping members understand the overall importance of casting their vote for a PRS fit for the future. Most importantly it had to hold viewer’s attention right through to the end and inspire them to act on the CTA.

Results

PRS distributed the film through an email campaign, their website, and facebook/twitter, where they received tens of thousands of views.

Overall the client was delighted with the film, members heavily engaged with it, and just a few short days after launching the film the changes were voted through.

Testimonial

We love working with Next Rebel because they are highly creative, responsive, organised, fun, and always accommodating when things don’t go quite to plan.
